    Hi,

    You can use these steps to create workflow using VS.

    www.linkedin.com/.../dynamics-crm-2016-custom-plugin-development-using-tool-mishra

    After build you need to attached 3 mscrm processes using attach process to debug in visual studio.

    Thanks,

    Sandeep

    Hi Abdul,

    Are you debugging on the Dynamics CRM Server?  If not, you need to debug from the server itself.  Then you need scroll down further to find the CRMAsyncService.exe process. Also, tick Show Processes from All Users checkbox.

    So are you trying to debug a plugin or a custom workflow?

    In either case, for a basic debugging you can use ITracingService.

    For a custom workflow:

    ITracingService tracingService = ExecutionContext.GetExtension<ITracingService>();

    which works even in sandbox mode.

    And you can abilitate and disabilitate directly by system by navigating to Settings > Administration > System Settings and clicking Customization tab.

    RE: How to debug custom workflow?

    Hi Abdul,

    Try to add a dummy input argument in the custom workflow. Otherwise, it will throw NullReferenece exception while debugging custom workflow assemblies in Plugin Registration Tool.

    See: dreamingincrm.com/.../issues-in-debugging-custom-workflow-assemblies

    Hope this helps.
