There is a table of Dimensions Combination in which there are 8 Dimensions with combination with each other

and inside these if I open a combination of PROG with AREA

Now this is the combinations of PROG code with AREA code so for now these are manually unblocked or blocked but what i want is that i would process an excel sheet like this

that would do my working like as in excel sheet it will block SCHOOL 1 with AREA A016 and so on

Please provide me the working if anyone has done any working or guide how to do this

Hello,

You can automate blocking/unblocking Dimension Combinations in Business Central by using a Configuration Package or RapidStart: export the Dimension Combination table to Excel, update the Blocked field for each PROG–AREA pair as per your sheet (e.g., SCHOOL1 with AREA A016 = Yes), then import and apply the changes.

For recurring automation, you can build an AL codeunit that reads the Excel via Excel Buffer and updates the Blocked field in the Dimension Combination table.

Excel Structure Example

PROG Code AREA Code Blocked

SCHOOL1 A016 Yes

SCHOOL2 A017 No

Hi @CU11120629-0,

If what you are searching for is a way of importing straight into this list, then there is no out of the box solution.

However you can try creating a package for tables 350 and 351

They are used for this. I would start with 1-2 records just to make sure all is well and then extend :)

Hello,

You can automate blocking dimension value combinations, but there is no standard BC feature to import these from Excel.
To achieve this, you must build a small AL extension that reads the Excel file and updates Table 354 – Dimension Value Combination accordingly.

This is the only practical way to automate it.

There is no standard screen to upload the data

You can upload or update data in these Tables .

You can try Configuration package and update

or

Create customization to import Dimension Combination , Dimension Value Combination

I dont want to import the table i want to block or unblock the combinations in dimension combinations

That wont be that difficult as it seems to be, just anticipating you are familiar with configuration packages and all.

Work with table 350 and table 351 and you yourself will understand. :)
