how to fix base Qty on warehouse entries

Hello,

I am having issue with couple of Sku's where my bin contents are off due to wrong conversion to base qty. is it possible to fix base Qty on the warehouse entries.

here we picked 60 displays from 11-17-f4 and moved to 03-03-c6 but base qty is off.  Now my bins contents are in decimals but on ledger entry says 3000 pcs and bin content 1.2 displays instead of 60 displays.

How can I fix this?

Thank you
I have the same question (0)

Hi, first of all, warehouse entries (Posted Data in BC) cannot be modified. You must use other methods to adjust them.
For example, adjust them in Item Journals, or use Transfer Order.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks.

    hello @ Yun Zhu,

this is advanced location with directed put away enabled. My bin contents are off due base qty posted wrong. On ledger entries it shows 3000 pcs but bin content only 1.2. if I use transfer order or item journal i can only adjust 1.2 displays not whole balance. I need to match Item ledger entry balance with bin content balance.

I assume what happened is the user didn't handle the pick correctly. if this is a directed location, it uses break bulk function, meaning BC breaks the larger UOM into small uom when handling the pick.
so BC take 60 cases, breaking it into 3000 pieces, the user needs to handle the put line as what BC created, I guess the user manually changed the number on the qty base field to 60.
if this is the case, you could delete the registered pick. then move the items from the 0303c6 bin back to 1117f4 bin.
create a pick again and handle it properly

This was warehouse movement. I can only create a movement according to the bin contents. if Displays are showing I can put displays not pcs. I get an error message bin content doesn't exist.

If I can fix base quantity on the Warehouse entry it will roll into the bin content. I need to fix registered base qty .

this is a weird issue. the item ledger entries are showing the correct number. what happens if you move the item from c6 back to F4?

I tried to move but only what 1.2 displays.  is it possible to force qty on the posted warehouse entries?  through conf pack or any other journal.  once that base qty is fixed it will correct all the transaction after that move related to that bin.

I don't recommend force change the qty. you could try the following

go to warehouse physical inventory journal, and calculate the qty of that item for the c6 bin,
if the qty is still 60 in the calculated qty field in the pieces UOM, then update it to 3000 on the qty field with correct UOM.
this way, BC could do a positive adjustment of the difference. Post it and then go to item journal to calculate the warehouse adjustment and post it.

go to the item card, and the go to the UOM page, check if a rounding precision is defined at the bottom of the page.

    Hi Paul,

Are you using Dynamics 365 SCM or Dynamics 365 BC? The screenshot seems to come form a Business Central application, correct?
