I am using item charge assignment for freight cost. I usually assign the cost based on Suggested item charge that Business central 365 has an inbuilt feature and it gives you four options on which you can base your charge.
I want to apply the charge based on weight of the product
Weight is set up in unit of measure for the items.
However , when I want to apply the charge by weight , it does not result in the assignment of the charge to the items and I have to choose assign by amount.
The problem with using assign by amount is , some items that are heavy but are not costly and should technically be assigned more freight cost , gets assigned lower freight cost which in returns give wrong information for item costing.
Does any one know why Item charge assignment is not working based on weight.
