Post A Credit Memo with no corresponding Sales Invoice

HI,

WE switched to BC in June 2021.  I need to post a credit memo for items returned on a sales invoice in our old accounting software.

The system will not allow me to post the credit memo because there is no sales invoice in BC to apply it to.

I have already sent payment to our customer.

Any suggestions on how to post the credit memo?

    Just go to sales credit memo and register a credit memo but without filling in the assign to fields.

    Then you can post the credit memo and manually apply it to the payment afterwards.

    Hi,

    I was facing same issue in one of my client. So I was developed one Field in Sales Header and shown in Sales Credit Memo. Field nature is Boolean. If it is true, then bypass the system validation.
