I think it should be if  we map the batch number group on FG for which production order is created.

    Hi Saurabh,

I want to calculate the batch number and expiry date after the production process is completed ( i.e after report a finished state ) , any pointers on how to achieve this

    Thanks,

    Naresh

Have you set up a Batch number group that will automatically create batch numbers and assign that to the finished good item. the system would then create a new batch number when a production order is either manually created or created through firming a planned production order.

No, it is not possible as STD.

At standard you can generate the batch number when the stock is actually produced .

The system will generate a new batch number if the physical date on the PB is different from the previous Physical date.
