Sales Project Price Lists

In Microsoft Business Central- In the projects card, sales prices setup in a Sales Project Price List for resources do not pull through to the project planning lines of the project

Setups:

- Under "Feature Management", the "New Sales Pricing Experience" is enabled.

- Work type codes were setup for the respective resource.

- A special unit sales price was set up for the respective work type code linked to the resource. This was done using the sales projects price list which is assigned to all projects, has a status of "active", has a starting date in the past (no ending date) and has a currency code specified

- All project planning lines tested in the scenario are specified as "Both budget and billable lines"

Scenarios Tested:

For all scenarios below, on the project planning lines, both "Lowest Price" and "blank" were tested in the "Price Calculation method" column of the project planning lines and the same resource was selected in all scenarios.

The following scenarios were tested, being:

1- On the resource card, the default unit price was set (Work type code not applicable). On the project planning line, the work type code was specified. Result: Only the default price pulls through to the unit price column (despite the Price calculation method specified) on the project planning line.

2- On the resource card, no default price was set. On the project planning line, the work type code was specified. Result: The Unit Price on the project planning line is ZERO.

3- Different combinations of the "Price/Profit Calculation" field on the resource card were tested. Result: Despite the Price calculation method specified on the project planning lines, only the unit price on the resource card pulls through, never the price for the work type code specified in the price list.

Is anyone able to identify a crucial setup or consideration not mentioned above that could result in the issue experienced?

    Hi,

I am going to assume that this could be down to a unit of measure code missing on the sales project price list.  Here is what I have and it seems to work as you require.

    Resource has the following setup.

I have a sales project price list that has the following:

I then created a project that had a EUR currency and entered a project planning line for the above resource.

So at the minute the unit price of 90 is being used and converted to EUR which isn't what you need and in the above I am missing the Work Type Code.

As soon as I enter the Work Type Code then the unit price is set from the project price list.

    Hope that helps,
    Shauna
