Connecting 1 Outlook email to multiple contacts in CRM

We are in the financial service business and often will have a husband send us an e-mail and he is responding about himself and also his spouse. They both have independent CRM records. How do we link the single e-mail message to both husband and spouse's CRM record? Is it even possible?

    Hello,

    I assume that you are using Husband and Wife as different contact records in CRM.

    In CRM you can only "Set Regard" an email against 1 particular record at a time. (Set regard means to file an email against the selected CRM record). You cannot link a single e-mail to multiple CRM records at a time.

    Further I would suggest to maintain connections between contacts (Husband and Wife Contact record), give it a connection role (Family - Spouse/Partner) and display it over the contact form as a Connection Sub-grid for reference to identify the relationship between the contacts. There are several other Connection roles available as an Out of the Box feature relating to Stakeholders, Sales Team etc apart from Family.
