Setting Internal alerts

I am trying to track renewal dates and service contracts in Dynamics CRM 2016. How can I set up automated internal alerts via email  that the contract will be expiring 90 and 30 days in advance?

    You can set-up a recursive worklow => www.powerobjects.com/.../setting-up-recurring-workflows-in-dynamics-crm-2016

    I would prefer to use azure schedule service or windows scheduled task to achieve the same. As I personally fell they are more configurable.

    You might also set up a workflow using timeout condition:
