Data Dictionary Missing

Hello:

In the test environment of GP 2013 SP2, the Customization Maintenance window shows a list of modified forms and the dynamics.set file shows a correct presentation of the location of the FORMS.DIC file.  In addition, we can access this path in Windows Explorer.

Yet, upon attempting to access Modifier, we see the following message:  "Data dictionary missing".

How can we eliminate this message and, in essence, retrieve the modified forms from the FORMS.dic file.

Thank you!

John

John you might want to see if the users have Read / Write / Create / Delete rights to the folder where the FORMS.dic is located - on the share - I have found that someone that has permission can set the path, but when a regular user tries - the rights are not there - just a thought.

Bringing it local means that the user has the necessary permissions and doubles up on my above thoughts.

I resolved the issue by bringing the dictionaries and the major customizations local, rather than keeping them on a shared drive.  This is a Terminal Server environment, so I don't see any issues, with this.

    Thanks, for your responses!

And did you login to gp by right clicking the the gp icon and selecting 'Run as Administrator'? try it.

Does this modified form use a dictionary that is not loaded, like fixed assets but the fixed asset code has not been installed?
