Error when updating version from 5.0.9688.583 to 5.0.9690.2243

I get the following error when in CRM deployment manager when I try to update an organization:

Error| Applying database updates to organization with name = Clarity12172012 Id=fb3490e0-2794-e211-8251-080027f2e190 failed with Exception:
System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. ---> Microsoft.Crm.BusinessEntities.CrmObjectNotFoundException: organization With Id = fb3490e0-2794-e211-8251-080027f2e190 Does Not Exist

Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Trying installing update rollup 6 first before installing 8. It is a prerequisite.

    Hi Robert,

    Update Rollup 6 is a prerequisite for any higher UR installation, and version number 5.0.9688.583 indicates that you have CRM 2011 RTM installed (or at least your organization's database is still at RTM).  If this is the case, I would uninstall Update Rollup 8 (5.0.9690.2243 via Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> View Installed Updates), then reinstall Update Rollup 6.

    If you're not able to reinstall Update Rollup 6 to upgrade the version of your database, then you may have to uninstall Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2011 entirely, reinstall the program, import your previous organization, and upgrade to Update Rollup 6 then Update Rollup 8 again.
