Hi All
Pls explain the concept of " cross-terminal transactions" functionality in retail. what this refers to exactly in retail (POS). Came across this term on topic "Commerce scale unit"
Hi Chandra Moulee,
Currently I can't find an explanation for this functionality in the d365 related documentation. My understanding of "cross-terminal transactions" is that customers can initiate transactions through different terminal services.
Best Regards,
Charlotte Xu
Cross terminal transactions may be referring to be transactions that can be initiated on one POS and completed on the other. One good example will be suspending a transaction on POS1 and recalling the same transaction from POS 2 to complete it. Even blind closing a shift on POS 1 and performing tender declaration and shift closure of the same shift on POS 2 can be considered as a cross terminal transaction.
