Hi there,
we are currently trying to print Japanese characters on our receipts on a Epson TM 88VI printer, which is connected to a shared hardware station via Network.
Is there anything in the hardware profile or even on the printer itself that needs to be setup in order to achieve this?
At the moment all Japanese characters are printed as "?".
Really appreciate any help here!
Thank you!
Best,
Michael
Hi Michael,
Microsoft has some standard language for Japanese receipts but if the client want to replace some words, it will be a customization.
First you need to make sure that the store language is ja (Retail and commerce>>Channels Store)
Second, the worker language should also be in ja (Human resources>>Workers>>Search worker>>Commerce)
Run the batch job 1070, 1090. If youre using MPOS, 1095
Currently Im working on the receipt layout where we are doing customization for several receipt (the client side is not satisfied with standard Japanese wording)
Feel free to reach out if you have any other issues.
