Hi:

I created a configuration package file to import the purchase header and purchase line.

Although I have data in the source file for "Direct Unit Cost", none of the imported line items are showing a unit cost.

Why not?

I changed the Type from "Item" to "G/L Account". This gave me a successful import including of the cost.

I'm guessing that, with "Item" as the Type, the import looks for the cost of an item that is already an item in the system. That's odd considering that I was trying to import the cost with the file, but.....

Your question may relate to mine. We import data through the Dynamics webservice. The costs we are importing are being overwritten by the unit cost tables within Great Plains.

I understand there is some indicator we can change that tells great plains to take the unit cost from the web service hand have it take priority over the internal table unit cost.

Do you have any thoughts on this?

Let me know if you need any more information or if there is a place I can go to to find out what I need to do.

When we originally had this set up years ago it took the unit price from the webservice and then something changed with an upgrade.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
