Accessing Dataverse Table

Hello

A custom table in Dataverse can be opened directly from BC with a corresponding custom table object and a custom page object, without developing synchronization between BC and Dataverse. Other than better performance, what is the value of building the synchronization?

I have the same question (0)

To keep the data up to date. 3 choices. BC leads the way, dataverse leads the way or it’s bidirectional.

    Thank you, Josh.

That is actually the value of synchronization when the tables in Dataverse need to be imported into BC. But I can already see the custom tables in Dataverse with table object (type = CDS) and am not yet convinced why I need the synchronization.

I think Synchronization is a published feature in BC, while virtual table is still in preview and have some limitations.

I am wondering, is it possible to expose dataverse table in SaaS BC?

Yes, Virtual Table is still "Preview" as at November 2021.

And accessing Dataverse tables in BC is already possible with a table and a page developed as an extension on BC.

Is it also possible to access sql server virtual table from BC? Could you post a refernace link about  dataverse-BC integration development.

    Thanks in advanced.

I am not sure what you mean by "sql server virtual table" but in the Cloud environment, you cannot access SQL Server database directly.

As for accessing Dataverse from BC, this will be a perfect reference
