When I'm in our company environment, I can't seem to perform normal functions like cutting a check. It keeps erroring out. Someone I use to work with told me I have to pay to use a functioning Demo environment. Is this true and how much is the subscription?

I have the same question (0)

A 30 day trail environment is free of charge and you can sign up for that at from the Business Central site.

Here are some info on how to start your trail:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../

You can also run BC as a trail version in a docker container on your local computer.

The price for Business Central differs depending on the region you are in .

You can find price information here:

    dynamics.microsoft.com/

Hope this helps you further !

    RE: Demo environment

Hi, I think it is a setting problem. You can recheck the relevant settings of Check, or debug in the Sandbox environment to find the problem.

Do we know if the Demo environments upgrade automatically with Major changes? and if so, is there a timeframe for the upgrades?

Demo environments and sandboxes are upgraded with in the same time frame as ordinary production environments.

But remember that an ordinary demo environment only have a duration for 30 days unless it is extended.
