Dear all,

I am facing the following issue:

When I try to run a maintenance round in Asset management for more than 99 job lines I receive the following error:

Number 100 does not match format -##. I see the referred to tables EntAssetObjectCalendarListPagePoolsOpen and ProjTable.

I am pretty sure this is related with the job line ID.

I don't know if there is a way to manage this number sequence. I can set a number sequence for a work order. It is WO-#####.

But there is no parameter for the job ID. I guess the logic should be the same as in the project hierarchy IDs.

Does anyone know if this can be set up or is it a developer issue?

Hi Simeon,

I haven't look at Asset Management myself yet. However, the issue can come from the project settings. On the project, you can set a format for sub project numbers. Probably this is set to -##. That needs to be extended then number of # characters defines the number of decimals used.

Hi, this could work but I can't find where the project job number sequence is set.

In Organization administration > Number sequences there is a setting for the project IDs but not for the subprojects.

I am afraid this may be related with the processing.

Hi Simeon,

Like mentioned above, this setting is on the project itself. Per project, you can define the format for sub-projects.

SO, you can find it on the project details form.

Would it be an issue that I expect to have within the lines of 12000 to 20000 lines created per year?

Hi Simeon,

Can you specify which table you mean with 'lines'? Is it about sub-projects? Or transactions in your environment?

Both. It will create both sub-projects in Project management and accounting and work order job lines in Asset management.

20000 transactions is easy to handle. Also having 20000 projects should be possible, however it might have impact on detail reports.

Hi Andre,

I got the same error with Simone. However in my case error occurred when trying to post in "Pending vendor invoices". I did the process provided above mentioned, but there's no data such in my Projects like totally empty. How was that possible that error still exists even if nothings is setting up?
