Delete serial number without Stock?

Hello,

We currently have no stock of a particular item, but there is a serial number in the system from this item.

Is there a way to remove this serial number from the system?

If we now receive a purchase order and want to send the corresponding sales order, we always have a choice of two serial numbers when selecting the serial number, although we only have one item in stock.

If I am following you.. When in a Sales Order and you are entering the Item Tracking Lines for a Serial Item, you see 2 entries to select and one of them has 0 quantity on hand. I have tried to recreate in CRONUS with 0 On-Hand, in the Location my Sales Order is shipping from and cannot see a second Serial Number. Have you tested this in a CRONUS database? Also, you cannot delete previously posted entries, even if the Quantity On-Hand = 0.

I don't know what Cronus is, so I don't think so :)

For testing I've added a new order, and the serial number is still in for choice, but this item already been sent a couple of days ago..

So I want to remove the serial number out of the system.

Sven,

CRONUS is the play company BC databases normally come with. Are you sure the Serial Number is not on Inventory in another Location? Have you run Adjust Cost Item Entries and posted the entries? I just want to make sure all entries have posted completely. My screen shot, in my other response, does not show the Serial No. I had on hand and sold it.

Go to the Serial No. Information List, find the Serial No. and open the Card. Does it show you have a Quantity on Hand?

Hi Steve,

thanks for your answers. There are no serial numbers in the information list. Strange, because we already used hundreds of serial numbers.

When I go the the article tracing of that serial number I get this:

The company we work with to help uw with Business Central can't fix the issue, that's why i'm trying here..

This is what we did:

We received the purchase order, we shipped the salesorder. Than we have undone the shipment and undone the reception of the purchase order. That last thing didn't go well because of the thing in red in the print screen under:

Someone from the other company did something to put that number on 1, and after that I was able to undo the receipt, but we were left with a serial number in the system, but no stock anymore.
