Remove Parts from a Production Item to Make Another

Hello,

The scenario would be this -

Customer A cancels an order for 100 of item 11-1111, these items have already been produced and are in inventory.

Customer B makes an order for 50 of item 11-1112.

The only difference in 11-1111 and 11-1112 is 2 components. If two components are removed from 11-1111, the item is now a 11-1112.

What would be the suggested way to handle this in BC?

Thanks in advance.

RE: Remove Parts from a Production Item to Make Another

    Hello,

If you want the 11-1111 Item to fulfil the 11-1112 Item I would make an Item Journal to negative the 50 11-1111 and Positive 11-1112. I would also take the 2 components removed from 11-1111 and add back the components as positive adjustments.

    Thanks,

    Steve
