Identify Components/Features to update before Transition

Posted on by 70

Hi there,

We are using Dynamics 365 and we have received a notification about the transition to the Unified Interface.

Is there any way to identify which components/feature I need to change in my Dynamics 365 before the transition?

Regards,

Gary Joel

Thanks Henry. I've reached out to the support team and they are looking into it.

One another question, when we resolve a case the Case Resolution Dialog box shows up in the legacy app. But it is not showing in the unified interface app. Do I need to enable somewhere to show up in unified interface?

    Hi Gary,

From your screenshot, it looks like the "New Case" button was customized and altered.
This might explain why it doesn't work or display correctly here.

    Hi Henry,

    what I meant was,

Under Service -> Cases, there is no way to add a new case. For others like Accounts / Contacts, there is an add button (+) available to add. But for cases it is missing. Screenshot added for reference.

Hi Gary, what do you mean "Add button for case"?

As for the settings, what setting are you exactly looking for?

Thanks Henry. I updated the sandbox with the latest production version and transitioned to Unified Interface.

However, while testing I don't see any add button for CASE. Also where can I find the settings menu.

    Hello Gary,

There are a few things you can do to assess what needs to be done for a successful transition the Unified Interface.
A very quick to achieve this is to turn on the Unified Interface on a test environment representative of your production, and see if you identify any issues performing your business tasks.
