Finance/chart of accounts access

Hi,
 
How do we restrict access to be able to view chart of accounts and finance records? 
 
i have looked into permission sets but when we first went live with BC start of 2023 we had to keep adding more and more so users could just do there regular daily activity but now need to restrict access. Is there any simple ways to do this?

    Yes, you can use the new Exclude function in permission sets. This page talks about the general ledger entries, but you would do the same for the chart of accounts : Exclude permissions from wildcard permission sets | Microsoft Learn

    As has been mentioned you can use "Exclude" permissions for this.
