Converting Lead History to Account/Contact

Hello,

I understand it is not an out-of-box functionality. I'd like to create a workflow that automatically copies any notes that are created for the lead and copies them as an activity record, e.g. a Task or Phone Call. This way users can continue to use the notes field without losing their data when qualifying leads. I'm a little confused as to which Entity I should be focusing on, and what kind of process. Grateful for any help anyone can give.

Thanks!

    Hello,

What kind of notes do you mean? Is is a field or annotations entity? If it is a field you can create a workflow that triggers when opportunity is created and copy data from originating lead. If you mean annotations I would suggest to copy it using plugin or custom workflow activity.

    Hi Andrii,

Thanks for the prompt reply. It's an annotations entity - an activity record (i.e. Notes, Phone Calls, etc.)

    Hello,

In this case you will have to develop code (plugin or custom workflow activity) that will retrieve notes and activities and create it for opportunity.  Check similar thread - community.dynamics.com/.../115654

Hi Mike- if you are looking for an addon, our PowerOneView can display the activities from the related lead without having to copy the data:

Thanks, Alex! This seems like a great solution - downloaded the trial this morning and will give it a shot.
