Queue not receiving emails

I have followed the very good directions in the following link to set up my gmail account as the main mailbox for my Dynamics 365 instance:

and got the mailbox and associated queue to be successfully set up. 

However,  I have sent multiple emails from multiple different email addresses to get email messages into the queue but they do not appear, not as cases or as activities. They do not appear at all. I cannot figure out what the issue is.

Thanks very much for any advice.

    This issue with Dynamics 365 is there since long and still there is no permanent resolution. Issue is not consistent. Incoming emails work sometimes then suddenly stops working. Issue is pending with Microsoft Dynamics team for a permanent resolution.

    Hi ktcamp99 ,

    I haven't yet tested it for yahoo. Although I have noticed one strange thing that the incoming emails started arriving when I tested the same configuration for a new gmail Id (created recently).

    The test and enable is successful and i do get emails from the smtp out to my gmail. It's just that the incoming emails do not seem to come in... answer below is saying it's an unresolved problem with dynamics 365 and gmail, more likely gmail. But if you have any suggestions re: getting it to work with yahoo pop that would be great. thanks for responding.

    Thank you for getting back to me as I have been at this for a very long time!

    I have also since tried yahoo pop. Yahoo doesn't get past the enable test scenario. Do you have any recommendations as to how to maybe make it work with Yahoo or any other Pop type email?

    Hi ktcamp99,

    This is an unresolved issue with Dynamics 365 online. Where in we are able to send emails    

    using the mailboxes but incoming emails do not arrive into Dynamics 365 environment. I had raised a ticket with Microsoft long back, but it is yet to be resolved. I have been informed that the problem is from Gmail's side, that is the blocking is happening from Gmail's server side.

    Are you getting any results or alerts when you run the 'Test and Enable Mailbox' step?  This should highlight any issues with the connection to GMail.
