I am completely new to NAV and need to understand the complete functionality as performing an operational role within a business and it has little to none training on NAV functionality. The business is a manufacturing business so everything from sales, finance, warehousing , operational performance, planning etc is on the system but when discussing with people the actual understanding of the system is not great . The most common feedback is I don't know why its done this way but it was the way i was shown, or I don't know what the significance of the column description is or does as always ran a report with it there.
I am particularly interested in being able to look at a planning schedule and identifying what each column description tells me, whether teh original items set up have been done right or wrong such as scrap % with no values in some and present in others, capacity understanding against an asset etc.
I am also keen to be able to run analysis on orders ran and partially completed, or completed and how it met the planned expected times, scrap %, , etc.
Can anyone help with such a large request as I am literary feeling I need to understand the very basics on how the system works .
