CRM 2016 On-Premise and SharePoint 2013 On-Premise: Enable OneDrive

Posted on by

We have enabled Server to Server integration with SharePoint 2013 and it is creating folder and adding documents...etc. Trying to enable OneDrive results in the following when using our SharePoint Farm Admin user, and when using myself who is a site collection admin I get access denied.

Is On-Premise OneDrive for business supported with CRM On-Premise and SharePoint 2013 On-Premise?

Is there additional security setup for it?

BTW: My One drive web application is not a sitecollection of my Server to Server WebApplication used for integration but is wired up ain the UPS for SP as the default MySite.

RE: CRM 2016 On-Premise and SharePoint 2013 On-Premise: Enable OneDrive

I believe you are presuming CRM On Premise is only available with OneDrive Online or CRM Online? It is not very clear...

    See: technet.microsoft.com/.../mt622066.aspx

RE: This topic applies to organizations deploying on-premises versions of OneDrive for Business and CRM or an online/on-premises mix of these products.

It is very clear I have Dynamics 2016 On-Premise and the menu item to enable OneDrive is shown via On-Premise of CRM and the above TechNet states deploying on-premise version of OneDrive for Business (Which is SharePoint On-Premise) so by documentation this should work yet does not and states:

Access denied, callerId: {0B0885D1-4771-E611-80E9-0050569F7CAF} *BTW: this callerid is myself and I verified I am sitecollection Admin in SharePoint and also have the enabled rights in CRM as documented, also CRM integration using s2s certificate is operational meeting or exceeding documented requirements.

Anyone been able to accomplish this integration?

    Hi BobBreton,

You want to enable the OneDrive for CRM On Premise ? You may refer this blog below which states that Enable for OneDrive is applicable for CRM 2016 Online.

Please make sure you are meeting with the requirements.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks!
