Internet Explorer 11 crashes in Report Viewer when clicking Print

When in Report Viewer, we click the print icon and we receive a message that Internet Explorer has stopped working.  We are able to save/open as PDF and print, however, we cannot use the Print icon which has now added additional steps to our workflow.  Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Thanks!

    Hi David,

Do you have lot of Add-Ons with the IE. Go to the Add On Manager and try disabling them all.

After this please try and see if the problem still persists.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Thank you.

I disabled RSClientPrint2008 Class and now am receiving this message: Printing is not available. Verify that ActiveX is enabled, or try using Internet Explorer for the desktop.

I then followed these instructions to ensure ActiveX was enabled:

    windows.microsoft.com/.../ie-activex

    Hi David,

Please restart your IE and try to print. If the problem still persists please check if you have  installed windows update KB3008923 (IE11 fix), if yes please uninstall it and try again.

    Hope that helps

    Thanks

Thanks, again.  I tried both and am still getting the same results.  Any other ideas?

    Hi David,

    Try this..

    1. Try adding your reportviewer site / CRM site into IE trusted sites.

    2. Try adding your reportviewer site / CRM site into IE compatibility view settings.

    3. or last option would be try re installing RSClientPrint2008  ActiveX control.

Here are some other sources already resolved similar issue.. but those are for older version of IE.. might be work for you also.

That was interesting... I tried to add the CRM site as a trusted site and then got this error when I tried to access it:

There was a problem accessing the site. Try to browse to the site again.

If the problem persists, contact the administrator of this site and provide the reference number to identify the problem.

Hello, i encountered the same problem recently, and the compatibility setting and adding the site to trusted sites fixed it for me, but now i get a printout with a different font than the original/previewed report. The export in pdf retaints the original font, but the printout does not. The original font is Arial, but the result is something bold and narrow with overlapped characters. Any help?
