Importing Phone Numbers into Contact Entity

Hi- I've got a spreadsheet of contacts that I'd like to import into CRM. In Excel, some of the numbers are fairly long and they appear in their cell as '3.5122E+11' when they are really '351220304321'. This is a fake number obviously. When I import as a csv file, 3.5122E+11 gets imported into the phone number field in the Contact entity instead of the actual, full number. I've played around with the formatting in Excel, changing it from General to Number, but it doesn't seem to keep after I save it. I think this is because I have to save it as a csv in order to import it. I cannot seem to import xlsx files, even though it says that file format is acceptable. Any thoughts on to fix?

You need to switch from General to Text, not Number, so Excel will display exactly what has been entered.

Why can't you import xlsx files? What errors do you get?

Hi,

You should format your excel file again of phone columns, you can format as string. Check about the mapping before you import.
