Error Adding New User

One of my new users is having issues logging in and getting the message "That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different email address." However, the address I entered is correct and his status in my records shows "Invited." Does anyone know what the problem may be?

Have they created a windows live account with that email address?

Typically when I add a new user, they receive an email and follow a link to set up their account. His link takes him to the login page and says his account doesn't exist.

    Hi Anthony,

Can you repeat the registration account procedure?

I am the system admin and have the ability to add new users from our organization.  Typically, I just add a new user and an email goes to them that allows them to set up their login and access our CRM tool.

When I recently added a new user, he received the email and when he clicked the link to access the login he got the message: That Microsoft account doesn't exist. Enter a different email address.

This has never been an issue in the past. Anyone know what the problem may be?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Can you confirm if the user is able to login to http://www.live.com with the email id that you have sent invitation from CRM , if not able to login then we may have to check if the email address is a live id then we may have to convert the users email address to live id which should probably take care of your issue.

    Thank You

I had the same issue with a couple of our team members. They would receive the invite but couldn't log-in. The solution was to connect the account with the live.com site. Go to login.live.com and click on "Don't have a Microsoft account? Sign up now" link. Just ignore that they've already have an account. You need to re-register them again. Use the same email and password for the registration.

A verification email should be sent to their email. Once verified they will need to go to the original Microsoft Dynamic CRM Invite email and click on the accept invitation link. This worked for our team. Their account wasn't connected for some unknown reason with Microsoft.

*Note: The team members email did not end with @live.com (jon.smith@companyURL.com)
