Primary Contact on lead qualification to an existing account

If I qualify a lead and select an existing account the primary contact does not get set. What is the best way to go about populating the primary contact in this scenario?

Hello ,

Seems through javascript code you can call web api to retrieve primery contact and set the value.

Is a Contact being created and if so, are they at least associated with the Account?
