Hello,

How can you disassemble a finished production order to reverse the output and put back the components into the default stock bin location?

If the Production Order is in "Finished" Status, you will need to do a Positive Item Adjustment for the Components and a Negative Item Adjustment for the Output (assuming you want to remove the Output as well).

A Finished Production Order cannot be reopened, so your best option is the Item Journal.

If the Production Order is still in "Released" Status, you can Post Negative Consumption Entries to return the Components back to Inventory.  In order to Finish a Prod. Order, you have to Post at least a Quantity of 1 Output, which you would use the Item Journal to Negatively Adjust out of Inventory.

I hope this helps you resolve your issue.  If so, please mark it as a Verified Answer to help other forum users.
