workflow->task with due date fixed time

Hi all.
I have a workflow that generates a task to person A.
The task's due date will be dertermined by person A, but in order to dertermine the date, I want the task to pop-up the next day at 11 O'clock.

But I can only see the dynamic values to be "workflow execution time" + one day.
I don't want the reminder to come outside office hours...

The "standard value" is static?  (here is clock-time a option to modify)

- thanks in advance

Hi Jacob, CRM doesn't use pop-up reminders, so I assume you are referring to Outlook reminder pop-ups.

Outlook's task reminder pop-ups happen once each day, based on the user's Outlook task reminder preferences. This is  set in (Outlook 2007) Tools menu > Options > Preferences tab > Task: Reminder Time.

As far as I know, there isn't a way to over-ride this by setting a value on the task in CRM.

    Hi.

U are right, I am referring to Outlooks reminders.
When CRM syncs. to outlook, the reminder time is set by CRM to be at 00:00   (at night)

    - this is not popular.

In CRM, users can specify the due date and time for a task. If users fail to adjust the default, then the due time will be 00:00 (although the detault time can be changed, I don't think the customisation is supported).

In Outlook, if users create tasks and track them in CRM, they can specify a due date, but not a time. So they will have 00:00 as the due time because that's the default.

However, the task's due time has got nothing to do with the Outlook pop-up reminder time. That's set through the user's Outlook preferences and has nothing to do with the due time of the task, only the due date. By default, an Outlook pop-up at 08:00 will remind me of all my tasks due today whether they are due at 00:00, 07:00, 10:00 or 20:00.

    Neil
