System-defined table constraints in Product Configurator

Hi All,

I have seen a lot of literature and illustration of user-defined table constrains used in product configurator in the form of YouTube videos/Microsoft documentation.

However, there isn't much explanation on System-defined table constrains. Where can I find any guidance with examples of how to create dynamic mapping using these constrains?

Thanks,

Amit

    Hi Amit Bhawalkar,

A system-defined table constraint creates a dynamic mapping between an attribute type and a field in a table.

    Please refer this blog: community.dynamics.com/.../table-constraint-definitions

    Hi Amit,

1.Create the table constraint and specify the query.

2.Add the attribute with the same attribute type in configuration models, and add the Table constraint.

3.Map the attribute to Table constraint columns by clicking the edit table constraint in the previous screenshot.

4.Test. In the ActivityListOpenView table, there are 21 records, but the test result will display the records of the query.

    Hope this helps you.

    Hi Mattguo,

I tried the method explained. However, when I am trying to map a field in D365 with type 'number' with a attribute type 'integer' (with range), I get the error

'The selected field does not match any of the supported types; Enum, String and Integer'

Similarly, I am unable to map any prices that are decimal.

Are you able to assist with this issue?

    Thanks,

    Amit
