Contract line (Field Service) says "this document is closed/expired"

When my client enters a new contract, and then enters a line item, they receive the message "This document is closed/expired." I am pretty unfamiliar with the contract module. Where would the setting be that would affect this? Please and thank you! Heidi

Go to Contract Maintenance window(Cards-->Project-->Contract) and check whether the Contract is closed.

Heidi,

Did you find the resolution to this problem as it is not Project Accounting but Field Service - Contract Administration. I am running into the exact same error. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Cheryl,

My client actually figured out the issue and he wrote:

"I had not checked the Prepaid on the contract type which was causing the issue when trying to enter the contract and line items. I corrected the issue and had Sue update her contracts and confirmed that the issue is now resolved."

Also try changing the user date at the bottom to something closer to the end of your project date, that also helped the client as part of their resolution.
