Export Trial Balance by specific group of GL accounts

Would like to export multiple specific GL codes from Trial Balance. Would be nice to be able to build a batch of GL accounts. Any recommendations to get this type of information quickly, rather than one at a time?

    Hi

Are you looking for detail information or summary?  SmartList is always an option, depending on the information you need.

Also, have you checked out the Account Rollup Enquiry window.  This gives options for summarising disparate groups of accounts and created views and some basic reporting.

    Cheers

Yes, looking for detailed trial balance. We have smart list, but from what I can tell, I can only select one account at a time or by Account Category Number.  Is there a way to select very distinct account numbers in smartlist, that I am missing?

ps Thank you for sharing the Account Rollup solution. I had no idea it existed! Thank you.

    Hi,

you can go to the Accounts Navigation list and check the box next to the accounts you are interested in, and then click on the Reports button and you can print a detailed trial balance for all of the accounts you selected. You can even save multiple sheets if you have many different groups. It's kind of like a smartlist favorite. Look around and see how fabulous those Navigation Lists can be.

    Kind regards

This is really great Leslie!  I can't believe I never knew about the navigation lists!

Any chance, we can save our selections into groups for future use? Or is the criteria re-selected  every time it is printed?

    Yes,

You can do a Save As and you can create a list for each group of accounts you want. It's kind of like a smartlist favorite.
