Export data to external system (xml)

In Dynamics CRM we create a (so called matter). When the creation of this matter is finished I need to export te data from this matter to an external (financial) system. The current CRM system (not Dynamics) creates textfiles which are send to a fileshare where the financial system is checking. From Dynamics I would like to create an XML export. So When I click the save button on creating a new "Matter" I would like the xml file being generated. Is this possible?

Yes, you can do that, you could write a java script code and read your entity field to form that xml, which can be sent to your external system.

If you have pre defined format for your xml request then you can simply inject form field in the xml request using java script.

Or you could write a post create/update plugin where you can create your xml and send it to external system, using it's API
