Installing Dynamics 365 9.1 On-Premise CU Reporting Extensions and SQL Server Reporting Service

Hi

Thanks in advance for the help.

I need to install this Article 5017226 for an On-Premise install of Dynamics CRM 9.1 where the Server and the SQL Services are on different Machines.

The Article comes with multiple executables:

CRM9.1-Srs-KB9120017-ENU-amd64.exe
CRM9.1-Server-KB9120017-ENU-amd64.exe

As I identified by trial and error the srs needs to be installed on the SQL Server.

I need to find a Source from Microsoft which corroborates that if I install the Server Update I also need to install the SQL Update. So basically I want to know which Versions of the Server are compatible with the SQL SRS.
Or the source says that both need to be installed.

Sadly I cannot find this out by trial and error.

Can anyone help me with this?
