SharePoint key word search from within CRM

Hi,

Is it possible for users to search for key words in SharePoint documents from within CRM and be able to access those documents via the search results. Does anyone know if this is possible? I was thinking about putting up an Iframe and searching from there but several complexities would pop up that way. There is a 3^rd party addon that works for 2011 from codeplex but I can’t find anything for 2015.

Its a CRM 2015 Online system.

Hi Jonathan,

The out-of-the-box functionality works very similar to what you are asking for... If you utilize the search box on your CRM Document results page and search for content (see below):

in the documents it will return the results but display in a SharePoint results page (like this):

Hopefully this will meet your needs, I know it is not integrated showing the results right in CRM but it also provides a lot of faceted information etc. that is very useful.

Hi

Yes but we are looking for a search feature outside of a record. Something like a global search.
