Dear all,

I am new in smart connect. Am doing GL with AA. I would like to have a template and the way the mapping is done up to AA level. I will highly appreciate.

Again Excel 2013 data source  is not working and the connection is not successful. Its bringing a connection problem. But excel 97-2003 is working. CSV is still working and I can preview. I have installed excel 2013 addon but the connection aint going through.

Kindly help.

RomRyan

Can you provide more details about the error if any or the exact behavior?

    Angel,

ERROR [IM002] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified. This is showing when I use Excel 2013 as the datasource but csv and excel 97-2003 datasource are not throwing the error when I try to Validate or Preview.

Also I need an excel template for GL-AA integration and guidance on mapping.

    RomRyan.

I assume Excel 2013 is installed on the same machine that the SmartConnect client is?

(We don't have excel 2013 installed on ours, still on Excel 2010)

As for a template, I thought eOne had one...the usage of it will depend on how your AA is configured.

I had the same error a few weeks ago and I ended up installing the 32 bit Office 2007 drivers. See this post from eOne Solutions for the complete explanation.

GP will support only 32 bit ODBC connection but it will support 64 bit excel. Since the e connect is processing through OLE DB, Make sure the OLEDB and MS office are in 32 bit architecture.
