Changing the Page Type for a existing page.

I would like to change the page type from, worksheet to Document.
 
Is changing the page type is a braking change.
 
few are saying it is a breaking change, few saying it is not a breaking change. 
 
 
Please suggest me your answer.

    If you are talking about a standard page, it is not possible to make that change.

    Hi,
     
    Is it an Object that you developed, or you are trying to change a page type of extension that you have not developed.
     
    There had been some recent changes and even if it's a destructive change, for a PTE you can force it.

    If you are working with AppSource, it is considered breaking change. You can go ahead if it's a PTE, and you know it will not break any dependencies.

    Personally, I would recommend deprecating the old page and recreating the new one. This is done in Microsoft standards.
