Item Ledger Entries - wildcard search

Kindly suggest me how I can use wildcard option in /Item ledger entries/ to search for specific characters at the beginning ?

Eg.
I want to search and filter all characters that begin with VMA07 in the /Document No/ filed

Also, you don't have to filter. If you are only searching by a single field, you can just type vma07 in your search and it will find your information. The filter options are good if you need to save the results or if you need to filter by multiple fields.

The Search field doesn't require special characters it adds: @*SEARCH* where SEARCH is what you searched for. The filter is much more data specific, so if you type a lowercase value it will only look for lowercase.

Your filter would be: VMA07* you could also use @vma07*

Both should provide the results you're looking for.
