Inventory is blocked during quality order generation

When I create a quality order manually or from PO or from Production order, automatically inventory is getting blocked for the quantity in Quality order.

I need to go manually into inventory blocking screen and make quantity to '0' to unblock inventory.

Requirement, Quality order should not block inventory even sample qty too.

Is there a way to do it.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi sravan kumar,

Could you explain why you dont want to block the inventory when the items are during the inspection?

It is a standard behavior to block the items when create a quality order manually.docs.microsoft.com/.../inventory-blocking

Because I want to transfer inventory from one warehouse to another while quality order testing is going on too. Quality order testing will go for weeks. I cannot keep that inventory in my production warehouse.

When I produce 100 boxes of goods, system will take sample qty of 1 box for quality but in reality it will take only few grams of material from the box which is negligible. But I cannot create another inventory transaction from production for negligible material.

So required to create on hand inventory with no blocking of any inventory

    Hi sravan,

It just blocks the quantities you manually enter in the quality order. So, if it takes testing for several weeks, you can't use it before finishing the quality even is negligible. Can you transfer the sample qty of 1 to another warehouse before creating the quality order?

you have in the quality association inventory blocking defined under test sampling

I don't see any inventory blocking in quality associations. I can see event blocking which meant for different purpose.

In item sampling, Full blocking and Per updated qty will not unblock quality order qty

I want to transfer sample qty of 1 even quality order exists. Because I'm transferring whole pallet.

I can see two options, from quality order screen go to inventory blocking and make qty to zero. or Extension needs to be done to automatically remove inventory blocking.

in that case,  did someone reserved or manually created blocking?

could you share visual of new quality order and it's line transaction and inventory transaction and quality association and item sampling

Did you ever get a solution yo this?  We have a similar issue where we do not want to create any Inventory Blocking from the Quality Order for very similar issues.  We want to move the inventory and not have a restriction while waiting on conditioning time to perform final testing.  Major impediment to business operations that this is happening.
