Avalara AvaTax in BC Sandbox

If you have Avalara Avatax in your BC, please see if you can assist for this:

1) I copied Business Central (BC) Production Environment to Sandbox Environment. I want to make sure the Avalara AvaTax Extension does not transmit Tax data to Avalara Online Production Account. I clicked on "Connect to Sandbox" in the "Avalara Configuration" Page in Sandbox but the Account ID did not change and no message come out. What should I do?

2) How about if I copy Production Company to another Test Company within the Production Environment (without creating Sandbox), How do I make sure that Test Company does not transmit Tax data to Avalara Online Production Account?

Hi, Avalara Avatax is not a standard feature of BC, please contact the partner directly to resolve this issue.

Hi,

1. For sandbox environment, you need to manually enter Avalara sandbox account ID, License key and company code and then click on "Connect to sandbox".

2. For production environment test company, Make sure AvaTax setup is blank

Agree with Sagar that the credentials for sandbox are different than that for production. I believe that could be created from the avalara website.
