Edit a line on an Active Contract/ Set Contract to Draft

What are the best ways to edit a line on an Active Contract?

I have attempted to create a process which would put the contract back into a Draft status, but I keep getting an error when I run it.

Would replicating the line as a new line item and deleting the old one be a solution? I am not sure what collateral damage that might have.

How about Renewing the Contract and then deleting the duplicate?

    Hi Patrick,

    once you move to invoiced and active, there is nothing that can be done beside adding new lines, put on hold or cancel it. Most CRM and ERP will put this restriction for the purpose of integrity.

    You can cancel. Than you can renewed and create a duplicate contract. There is no delete after invoice. Even if there was you may want to keep the cancelled just in case of some financial statement audit

    Suggested way is to add a new contract line with correct information and then Cancel the old contract line. By canceling a contract line instead of deleting it, you can reuse the contract lines later if you renew the contract or create a new contract based on it.
