Importing data from Advanced Find

If I do an Advanced Find and then export the data with the "Make this data available..." option ticked, then make changes to the data. When I re-import the data it will only effect the records in the xml file correct?

    Hi Nick,

    Just as additional info to flag field that are in all caps:

    You need to use Excel to find them.

    You export all fields that you find then you need excel formula to detect the fields.

    For example:

    Formula:

    *For All Caps (your requirement)

    =EXACT(A2,UPPER(A2))

    *Additional info Formula for B and D (in case you or anyone need it later)

    B

    =NOT(EXACT(LOWER(A2),A2))

    D

    =EXACT(A1,PROPER(A1))

    The advanced find doesn't support regex and I can't think of anyway to find rows with capitals in advanced find

    If you want to find capitals then you could maybe do this once you have the records in Excel and use a function.

    yes, it will enrich the data and works on the guids of those records.  It will only update the records held in the XML file

    when you export the data the guid of the record is in a hidden row, this is then used when import the records.

    it's a good way to update lots of records and get users who don't have access to CRM to update records held in CRM.

    Thanks! Does the Advanced Find support regex? I'm trying to find all fields that are in all caps.
