Defining Product Tree

Hi All,

I wonder could we define product tree at CRM 2011?

For example our product is computer and as you guess it contains other parts. We can add product Computer 1 but i want to add details like ram, cpu, hdd or etc. So if i can easily configure my computer product price and may be apply discount. 

To achieve this i had added a product named Computer 1 and then converted it to kit. Then i added ram, hdd or cpu as products to Computer 1 kit. until here everything is ok. But i couldn't define how many ram product contained by Computer 1.

Is there any way to achieve this?

    There is no easy way to do this in CRM 2011...whenever I find customers that need this type of intricate product trees I recommend looking at third party add ins like ExpertLogic.

    This is very bad news for me.

    Actually it's hard to believe that such a big system like CRM doesn't include product tree feature.

    I agree with Gus, you will find it easier to purchase a product than customizing out of CRM. Experlogix or Powertrak Product Configurator are good options. www.axonom.com/.../is_hitech_configurator.html
