Customer Source access to the price list

Hello

We have a customer that wants to know how to see his price list and number of licenses they have in CustomerSource. Which option can customers select to view this information? I loged on with the customer and could not find any information on their prices.

there are laws that state that manufacturers cannot establish fixed prices for products but on suggested pricing, then sell to distributors (Partners) at their earned discount and must allow partners to set their own retail.......MS could get in trouble putting prices on Customer Source.

But in this case a client has to log into CustomerSource and see their list price. How in any way does that violate any law?

To my knowledge (as a Customer), you can't see the protected list price of the modules. I'm pretty sure their partner can see it or call into sales operations and get it. Microsoft has it on file since it is how renewals are calculated.

To see License counts in the new Customer Source:

Click on your name (top right)

Select Product and Services Summary

then from the Product and Services Summary Page click Registered Modules

The customer wants to see the value of their software. There is no way to see that or even to see what maintenance plan they are on. The list price used to be there until some pencilneck decided that was a bad thing. We are going to have to have them submit a change of reseller form so we can see their list price and send them the information. This just makes no sense especially since they are logging in with their credentials.

You can see the Service plan Information on the Product and Services Summary Page

Click on your name (top right)

Select Product and Services Summary

Yes, but their is no where the client can see the list price of there software. Their current reseller does not itemize the renewal charge so everything is lumped together and they have no way of finding out their list price. I am going to have them call Sales Operations.

Shahid, can you contact your partner and ask the question? It is the fastest way I know of.

If you have access to CustomerSource you can also contact Sales Operations and ask them - but I am not sure 'as a customer' how that works.
