Want users to directly land inside an app instead of selection screen

Hi,

Since we are moving to UCI, I noticed that Apps work according to access. In classic UI, to get into an environment, people simply used to go to https://<environmentURL>.crm.dynamics.com/ and they already had the SiteMap and landing Page etc set. I don't want to use the App URL Suffix or the App IDs, I want to continue using only the URL instead of any extra suffix to it. So that user don't need to save any new URL-

In UCI, they need to make a selection into an app they have permissions on - I realize this, but in my scenario, I have only 1 app. Still Dynamics makes me select that 1 app to go inside it. This should be an obvious selection

The custom App I understand is Web based and not Unified Interface, even enabling UCI Only for the instance, we are made to select that app -

What I was expecting -

1. If user has access to any 1 app, the App selection screen should not appear and the user should directly go inside the 1 Unified App they have access to. This is an extra click for the end user to select the obvious app they want to go.

Any thoughs?

I have the same question (0)

What you are suggesting is not possible yet.

It would be good if you recommend that thing to be included in the next update.

Yes I guess, and now you have to distribute the URL which I don't want to do.

I've raised a reponse over the Ideas forum. Let's see where it gets to - experience.dynamics.com/.../

If you agree with the idea, kindly vote as well. :)

You used to be able to autolaunch to a specified App but they appeared to have removed that option?

Exactly, I was gonna do the same. Will post an idea later today.

So, as of now, this can't be done. Can I conclude with that?

    Correct?

    Hi Priyesh,

    Good to see you again.

Indeed, the previous classic web interface had a setting to select the home app, but this setting was not valid for the unified interface.

Therefore, this option in personal Settings has no effect on app selection, which I think needs to be improved.

I would recommend you suggest an Idea for this. https://experience.dynamics.com/ideas/
