Numeric fields left aligned when adding a drop down to it

Dear D365 Community,

We customized the sales order entry to allow user to enter the ordered quantity into different units by adding a dropdown option to the quantity field. This made the field left aligned and makes ordered quantities difficult to read.
Is there a way to add the drop-down arrow button to the left of the field and keep numerical value right aligned?

So far, I've been told it is working as per Microsoft design?!?

Thank in advance for your help!
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I think this is how all drop down fields look like.
Look at the field variant number, it's the same.

So I don't think this can be changed.

    Thanks,
    Layan Jweihan

Have you tried changing the alignment property on the form's field control to Right instead of Auto?

    Hi,

There is no global property available in D365 F&SCM for right aligning the drop-down arrow to the left. If you are looking at specific options then the option available is in a .css file which is not possible in D365 F&SCM.

    Hi Arnaud,

Creating a custom lookup form might be able to solve the alignment issue. Numbers and quantities should always be right aligned, strings left.
