Hello Community,
I have the following question, and would appreciate some guidance:
We have a client in the higher education sector where they are looking to migrate their existing portal (on Drupal) to a new platform. As we are implementing D365 CE for them, our 1st natural choice is the Power Apps Portal.
However, the client has very unique/complex requirements when it comes to the portal, which appears to be very much CMS type of requirements. For example, the portal user will need to see different page layout with different menu items, logos, etc. based on the program they select. Also, the layout of the form, the fields to be displayed on the form for the user to fill out on the portal will also need to dynamically change based on the program they select. The client also needs a very robust flexible way of managing such changes. In their Drupal portal today, they are able to "clone" the site or pages from a particular program, and then make the changes on top, and they are able to easily add/remove/hide fields of information (even from different entities) to the same portal page with drag/drop or toggles. In the limited knowledge that I have on the Power Apps Portal, I don't think it will meet the client's requirements. I have a feeling that the Power Apps Portal may not be the right solution in this case, and we would probably need to look at either some CMS integration solution with the Power Apps Portal, or a completely CMS solution integrated with D365.
Does anyone have any insights or suggestions on the above? And if it needs to be a CMS solution for integration with D365, is there one you would recommend that could meet the requirements above?
I would really appreciate your guidance. Thank you very much!
