Copying Production to DEV

Hi All,

last week i copied my production to development instance with all the records, but when i check GUID of the records for one custom entity it is not the same as Production, for the other custom entity and OOB entity the Record GUID is same. It only differ for one custom entity.

Any help would be appreciated.

    When I copied prod to Dev it also copied data

    Hi Shahbaaz Ansari,

    Did you create a full copy instance? If you did not take this approach then there is a problem with your data copying process.

    How did you copy data?

    Did you use SSIS?

    @Rocker : I did full copy of prod to dev, which copied all the data

    If you did full data copy, it should copy over all the configurations, customizations and data with the exact GUIDs.

    If that is not the case, can be a bug. Suggest you to raise a ticket with MS on the same.
